Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. This website is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The information here, and on any third-party tool linked from this site, may not be used to make decisions about credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or any other purpose covered by the FCRA. Background checks for those purposes must go through an FCRA-compliant screening provider.
Privately Operated Reference Site
This site is privately operated. It is not endorsed by or affiliated with the Circuit Court of Webster County, the Webster County Circuit Clerk, the Webster County Magistrate Clerk, or any West Virginia government body. It cannot run a docket, schedule a hearing, or maintain an official case index. Its role is limited to identifying official clerk offices, trial courts, WVPASS, and MCRSearch.
Accuracy of Information
Court entries and office details can change without notice. The current state directory lists Circuit Clerk Keith Stout at 2 Court Square, Room G-4, Webster Springs, at 304-847-2421, and Magistrate Clerk Pam McCourt at 112 Bell Street, Suite A, at 304-847-2613. Because county-maintained pages contain older conflicting names, call the responsible office before visiting or sending payment.
Dockets Change - Verify Before You Rely
A docket is a living record. Hearing dates get set and then reset, cases get continued, matters are dismissed, sealed, consolidated, or amended, and a disposition can change what a case shows from one day to the next. A copy of a docket you saw last week may not reflect what the docket says today. Before you act on a court date, a case status, or any docket entry, confirm it with the clerk of court or the trial court that holds the case.
Treat every docket entry you find as a starting point, not the final word. Only the clerk of court or the court that holds the case can confirm what the docket currently says and whether a setting still stands.
Verify With the Official Source
Nothing on this site is an official record. If a decision depends on what a docket says - a court date, a filing deadline, a case status, a disposition - get the answer from the office that holds the record: the clerk of court, the trial court that heard the case, or the statewide case-search system. An official or certified copy has to come from the issuing court or clerk.
Not Legal Advice
Nothing on this site is legal advice. General information about Webster County dockets cannot replace a licensed attorney, especially when a case is pending or a filing deadline or ruling affects legal rights.
Third-Party Search Tools
Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party companies. We do not control what those tools return, how they price their services, or how they handle data you submit. Results from those tools may be incomplete, outdated, or matched to the wrong case or person, and they carry the same FCRA restrictions described above.
Outbound Links
We link to clerk of court sites, trial court portals, statewide case-search systems, and other resources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of any external site.
No Records on This Site
This site does not host any dockets, case files, court records, hearing calendars, or orders. We point you to the offices that do hold those records. To get an actual docket sheet or court record, you have to request it from the clerk of court or the trial court that holds the case.
